The Art of Haley2

I had a team tournament. I did not want to play Vayl2 and nothing else in legion feels comfortable right now. At the same time I wanted to win. My ranking score is really low at the moment so a win would be nice. So I reached for the best caster in the format, which was 1 list with specialists, Haley2. Then my two teammates. Olov from Sweden Nobel and Fredrik from my WTC team, Bofors. Both avid Cygnar players. They wanted to play Haley as well and all of a sudden we became an Haley1-3 team.

So my anti WW Haley2 and with the ability to trade into Jarle Haley2. This gives me several choices in how to deal with different things. No matter the problem I felt like this gave me a great matchup.

I did not have enough time leading up to the event and had none of the models so could not really practice. Did some matchup ideas in my head but yeah that does not always work out on the table. So booked a practice game at the convention before the game. Against a local Retribution player. I asked for his worst and he played Ossyan. Which is one of the caster that I had to have a plan against and was kinda happy to test that plan.

Since this is not WW I remove my anti WW tech in the Gastone&Freebooter package get some horses instead. The Ironclad also feels a bit weak so grab the Firefly and Anastasia instead.

I win the roll and choose to go second.

He runs up everything and then it's go time. Stormwall trample up pod. Haley2 feats, temporal Acc the firefly casts a timebomb against the right unit scattering killing one MHSF. Firefly shoots the pod twice and kills 4 MHSF. Minute man kills another strike force. My opponent had also ran a bit to close so Lances could engage a strike force each. Which should not be allowed to happen. My plan was working so far. I would kill both strike force and have a stormwall left against his battle group more or less.

In his turn he gums my stuff up. Kills everything but a box in right on minuteman. 

So I keep working on the kill everything plan. Firefly gets temporal ACC again. Thorn and minuteman clear the horses then horses go in again.Murdering the whole left unit of strikeforce. On the right flank stormwall and firefly take care of what is left.

But Haley2 stayed in the kill box and 2 shots later she was dead. *Sad "whomp whomp" sound*. 

The plan and the list really worked the way I wanted it too into Ossyan. Temporal Acc on a firefly shooting a pod kills a strike force in two turns. Haley/Thorn/Stormlances takes care of the other. Sure my opponent gave me the left strike force kinda for free but I am pretty sure I can just let them shoot the lances and then allocate a couple for thorn to deal with the problem over there. As long as the end game is him without strike force I think the stormwall runs the table. I'm just bad and don't know to kill box my self. Can't stand in threat of Hypnos and Moros.
